Day 1 of our June WDW Trip

Day 1 of our 4-day 2 family Walt Disney World Adventure with our friends.
June 9th 2024

After landing and getting our cars we went straight to Animal Kingdom and Flame Tree Barbeque for lunch. The food was really good. It was very hot and I was extra sweaty from having to go back to the car to get *someone's* phone.

We decided to do "It's Tough to be a Bug." We haven't done it in a long time and it might be the last chance.

We then went on Expedition Everest, which is always a favorite.

We decided to do Kali River rapids since many of our group had never done it and for the rest, it was a long time. It's fun and we got soaked, but it's much shorter than expected.

Flight of Passage had too long of a line so we decided to go check into our Airbnb and swim.

We got Raising Cane's for dinner on the recommendation of my oldest. The best fast-food chicken I've ever had.

Then a trip to Disney Springs for shopping, a glimpse of the drone show, and of course Gideon's.

It was a great first day.
